BACK IN THE BAHAMAS!

Departed Indiantown via the ICW south to Lake Worth and dropped anchor overnite Jan. 6.  Woke up and departed bright and early (actually, quite dark) at 5:30am and crossed a slightly choppy sea with next to no wind.  An easy hop to West End where we have booked into the Old Bahama Bay Marina.

Tomorrow we head to our 'home' til the end of February, The Ocean Reef Yacht Club and Resort.  The resort offers efficiency units of various sizes which is a perfect compliment to enjoying a visit to Pelican Rose!

Enroute I saw a MANATEE dive up directly in front of our bow and disappear again.  An hour later and while I was at the helm, a WHALE dove up at the bow and crashed back into the ocean, smashing it's tale before disappearing.  The trip would not be complete without witnessing one DOLPHIN who playfully rode our stern wake.  Once in our slip at the marina, a MANTARAY swam gracefully alongside Pelican Rose followed by a sea of GAR FISH swimming on the surface.  Quite an array for day one!
